Workflow

The ADHD-friendly content workflow that finally stuck

June 19, 2026 · 5 min read

Traditional productivity advice assumes a steady supply of motivation. That assumption breaks fast for anyone whose attention comes in bursts. Instead of fighting the bursts, I designed a workflow that catches them.

Rule one: capture is separate from creation. Ideas go into one inbox with zero formatting requirements. Nothing kills a thought faster than being asked to categorize it.

Rule two: batch by mode, not by client. Writing hours are writing hours. Editing hours are editing hours. Switching between modes costs far more than switching between brands.

Rule three: every task must be finishable in one sitting. If it cannot be, it is not a task, it is a project, and it gets broken down until each piece has a clear end. Visible endings are what keep momentum alive.

The result was not more hours worked. It was fewer abandoned drafts, and a publishing rhythm that survives bad weeks.

The takeaway

Build the process around how your brain actually behaves, not how you wish it behaved.
